This lighting fixture is made of 18 gauge steel which makes it incredibly sturdy and able to resist dents, damage and most importantly rough weather conditions. Choosing an aluminum fixture may result in the fixture swaying or even falling down in rough weather conditions — not to mention that the feel and appear of our Steel product simply exudes quality. After the Steel fixture has been manufactured, our products are powder coated both inside (white) and outside (black) for a smooth finish as a way to withstand both cold and windy weather as well as salty air on the coasts. Powder coating is a technique that is both environmentally friendly and superior in quality when compared to liquid paint. Though there are additional costs associated with customizations, we may be able to powder coat your fixtures in any color you prefer to us to match. Included in this purchase is the lighting fixture, gooseneck, heavy duty mounting hardware and medium base porcelain socket. This product is manufactured and assembled in the USA. It is ETL approved up to 200 Watts Incandescent for Indoor or Outdoor applications. ETL certification complies with all necessary inspection code much like UL or CSA.
