A sand timer, often referred to as an hourglass, is a centuries-old device for measuring time. Fine grain sand runs from an higher glass bulb into a lower glass bulb. When all sand has run to the ground, a selected increment of time has elapsed and the device may also be inverted to start again. This classic GW Schleidt design measures a 5-minute time increment and lines inexperienced sand and a picket-finish stand with a Natural stain. Overall height is 6-Inch.
